September : The era of dead posting!

Hello everyone!

I’m back again with this month’s blog post. The topic that I’m discussing is about zero posting or dead posting on social media.I’ve been coming across feeds on my Instagram where the trend of dead posting is popping up everywhere!

Well, I believe it’s true because I myself have not posted a single picture since October last year. It’s not like I’ve not clicked pictures that are Instagram worthy rather my gallery is full of pictures that may get me good amounts of likes and comments. Yet, I just don’t feel like uploading them and I don’t know why?

I’ve been doing a social media detox for weeks now and trust me it feels good to save myself from endless scrolling.

Here are a list of things that I feel like why zero posting/ dead posting is the ‘it factor’ now and why I like it:

  • Instagram story: Basically people just upload pictures on their stories these days without posting them.Earlier , both feed and story used to be uploaded simultaneously by the users for engagement. Now, it’s just story and no more feed.
  • Too much of marketing: I miss the old Instagram where we could just click pictures of our food, pets, hands , clouds, flowers basically everything on Instagram feed with hashtags like, like for like and followforfollow.Nowadays, the moment we open Instagram , there are brands and people selling and recommending us some products just because it’s out there! I mean hello! Is it really that good? Did it work for them? Nobody knows.
  • Influencers and their influencing: I’m sorry to say but I’ve never liked the idea of influencing people. I mean c’mon we’re all unique individual. You don’t need to buy or wear or apply or go somewhere just because popular people are vouching for them!People literally get paid or sponsored to advertise them. Learn to embrace authenticity.Find your own style, Go to place that you really like, buy skincare that really suit your skin and not because so and so are promoting them.
  • Too much of muddled contents: Now, the next are content creators. Some contents are really nice and you do get to learn so many positive things from there on the other hand some content make no sense at all. People have started creating content to sell content to content creators! Phew! that was long.Anyways, be mindful of what you see and scroll.
  • A frenzy of emotion: This I’m literally saying is because I go through roller coaster of emotions while scrolling through my feed. I mean first you see some protest going on and in the next moment there is bloodshed, and the next you’re seeing is some dead ass meme and then upon further scrolling you see some funny videos and you start laughing and furthermore you’re watching how to dress like old money , then some crazy AI generated pictures and lastly you end up in the dark humour page.I mean 10 minutes of scrolling and you’ve literally been through thousands of emotions already.
  • Peace over chaos: Since, I am not active on social media, I can indulge myself in things that really matter.Talk to someone over the phone, finish up my pending task, declutter my spaces, re arrange my furnitures, watch some wholesome movie, tend my plants, physically go out to meet people,do some exercises.I feel like myself again.

I feel people have started realising like me that not every moment needs to be captured and posted. Some things are better kept private.Seeking validation from people that you don’t actually know in person is not wise. Some people don’t even like or comment on your posts cause they’re there just to keep up with you. Also I’ve never seen successful people waste their time in posting on social media because they’re too busy on focusing on their growth.Nobody knows the reality behind the virtual world. Let enigma and privacy be your new trend!

The next and next!

Hello everyone!

How’s it going? I hope everyone is doing well . We’re already drawing towards the end of Cancer season this year. No wonder we have been contemplating a lot about our lives and choices.

It’s okay not to be okay sometimes and it’s okay to question your belief system always.

Not everyday is a happy one and not everyday is a gloomy one.

I read somewhere that life is all about choices. Choices you make in your day to day lives make a big difference.

But how do you know if it’s the right choice?

Have you ever found yourself getting drained and not feeling well? Well, it’s just your body and your surroundings tell you that you need to recharge yourself.

It’s alright to take a break sometimes from all your responsibilities, your choices, your lifestyles, just take a chill pill and relax.

When you really need to find yourself, you need to let your emotions take hold of you, no discussions, no disturbances, just go deep within yourself and really feel the intensity of your emotions.

Escaping from your reality sometime makes you embrace it.Sit down, breathe, drink your coffee, drink your water, write on your journals, take a walk, take a retreat to nature, sit down near water bodies, meditate, reflect on yourself, take a vacation, de clutter your space,do what makes you feel happy.

Being overwhelmed is alright, you don’t know where you are going, what you are doing? But when you don’t experience these things in life, then you’ll never grow !

Growing up takes time. Maturity doesn’t come knocking on your door. You grow through what you go through!

In the mean time just figure yourself out. No matter what people say about you, you can never please them.Do your thing, have faith on yourself, Not everything is constant.

Remember not everybody and everything needs your attention or energy.Let them be.

In the meantime take care of yourself, drink your water, have your meal, talk to your near ones, life is short, we are mortals not immortals, one day all you take with you are your memories and experiences.

July Intentions!

Hello everyone! I’m back again with another blog post after almost a month.Things have not been so good in the past few days, yet, I’m keeping myself braced for the positivity.

Can’t believe we’ve already come to the 7th month of the year. How quickly the time passes by?It just seems like yesterday that we celebrated New Year and here we are drawing towards the 7th month already.

Let’s start this month with a positive mindset.Remember, things are not always working in your favour.Sometimes, we have to go through the darkest hour to be able to see the light.

Let go things that you have been pointlessly holding onto. Life is a book, learn to flip the chapters, the things that matter to you now may not be of so much importance when you look back at it 5 years from now.

Never regret your choices, if things are meant to be it will find you no matter how hard it is. Choices can be hard but learn to trust your head over heart.

The image displayed here has been taken by me.

Indulge into things and activities that bring out your best side.Keep company with people who bring you sunshine rather than pleasing people who bread crumb you into thinking you’re never enough for them.

Your mental health and peace comes over all.Don’t hesitate to forsake situations that bring you no peace. Above all a healthy mind is the key to living your best life.

Don’t entertain meaningless relationships, love is greater beyond physical intimacy, just because you are lonely doesn’t mean you give your energy and time to the wrong people who take and take from you yet they fail to meet you halfway.

Change your limiting beliefs, replace them with things you’ve accomplished whether big or small. Show gratitude, thank yourself for every battle that you’ve won.

This image displayed here has been taken by me

Look forward to better things in life.Next month, we will have grown a little, and a little more the next year.We will have new experiences, we will have pain, and we will have joy. We will learn to let go and we will learn to accept, then we’ll be back to share our lessons and know that things will be alright.

The moment of change is the only poem”.

The power of forgiveness

Hello everyone!!

I am back again today with another blog post! It’s autumn again..I love the gentle sunshine and the breezy evening at this time of the year.

They say October is a time of letting go, just like the trees shed their leaves every year just to get some new green ones in the spring next year.

In the past few months we have been through various tumultuous times yet, look at us now, we made it through! We have come this far and we can still go on.

Every time we scroll through various social platforms we see great beings preaching about forgiveness and learning to let go.

But have we actually tried to practice it yet?

We do often times forget the fact that each of us are unique individuals and we have both our light and shadow side to us.

Someone may perceive us bad or dark wherever others may think that we are good and innocent.

You see we all have different stories to tell people yet we all hear the same kinda stories from everyone. I bet everyone has gone through betrayal, failed promises, childhood traumas, dealt with narcissists, bad mortgage, debt, loss of someone dear, diseases, guilt, anger issues, etc and etc.

This shows that we are all same, going through the same emotions but yet we are different in how we respond to it.

God knows until when we will stop learning our lessons because each time something wrong or bad happens to you, they’re in fact teaching you lessons one after the other.

I have been a victim of endless repeated cycles in my life, dealing with the same kind of people, falling into the same pattern, until, recently I realised that there is indeed something wrong with me, and when I decided to ponder upon things that I have been through, I realised that my inner self was not quite healed and I have been inviting and attracting the same old kind of people, the same situations, the same kind of pattern into my life for the past many years.

So, when I got deeper into this I have come to know that forgiving yourself and the situation plays a vital role in how you live your life. When you truly forgive yourself for all the mistakes you did you will realise that those things made you stronger and so much wiser.

I have been coming across this quote very frequently these days

Your mind is a magnet, if you think of problems , you attract problems, if you think of blessings, you attract blessings, always cultivate positive thoughts and remain positive.

Source : Google

So, since we are what we think, then why don’t we think of the happy memories we shared with people rather than dwelling on the hurtful ones? Why don’t we feel grateful for all the times God provided for us and our family rather than complaining about not having enough? Why don’t we forgive and forget rather than carrying that mountain of guilt and anger on our shoulders?

Life is actually very simple but why do we always like to complicate it so much to the point that we have sleepless, restless nights and tormenting days.

Rather than complaining about the what if’s and could haves, why don’t we just let if flow….and just forgive and forget…

The power of Gratitude

Hello friends!! I am back again today with a new blog post! Hope everyone is doing well. It’s September already and we’re nearing the end of the year again.September has always been my favourite month as it’s my birthday month and I love the fact that autumn is round the corner.

The beautiful sunsets with warm breezy evenings and so many festivals on the way. I hope that everything is working on your end. Though, my life is not always perfect but I am happy that I have one to live.

Do you ever just feel thankful for the mere fact that you’re alive? Do you just look up at the sky and feel how infinite it is? Do you love the smell of the earth after it rains? Do you sometimes stare at the hustling and bustling of people and vehicles and think why are they in a hurry?Do you just sometimes sit alone and ponder how Great the Almighty is?

This image has been taken by me

Well, I have a lot of things going on my head when I sit idle and a thought just occurred to me that Life is all about lessons and the choices we make. We go through so many ups and downs in our life and forget the fact that Life itself is a gift. There are so many people around the world who are fighting each second for their lives yet we who already have life in us and are wasting our time dwelling on things that don’t matter in the end.

Broken promises, failed accomplishments, betrayal, self sabotaging, limiting beliefs, toxicity, overthinking, procrastination etc and etc are all the things that remind us that we are stronger than this and we can overcome this.

Gratitude for small things like life, a beautiful day, your favourite ice- cream, your friends , your family, your pets, your home,a beautiful flower you see on your way, your favourite song, your favourite podcast, your body, just your entire being, can change the way you look towards your life.

Be thankful and grateful for the small things you have in your life and you will make way for bigger and better things that are yet to come into your life.

Me time 🤍🤍🤍🤍

If you’re having a rough time just remember that it is temporary and God is preparing something big for you. Just say “ thankyou”and move on to the next.

Why should we live in the moment?

Hello everyone!! How is it going? Hope everyone is doing well.August has been a roller coaster of happiness and sadness for me.This fiery Leo season had a dash of adventure and excitement along with new experiences and unknown emotions at the same time.

Well, to be honest there is no such thing as today and tomorrow in the spirit realm.Time is fluid , time flows and it waits for none. The things we want to do or the things that we regret doing have no control over us. We have the power to do things when we feel like doing rather than fretting over past or being hopeful for the future…it’s so much better to just be in the present..to be in the moment and take one thing at a time.

Don’t worry if things are not going your way.Everything will fall into place if you are patient and are willing to wait for the Universe to take you at the right place at the right time.I personally believe that rather than rushing things and regretting it later..it’s better to let things roll on it’s own.

Some me time…

Every situation or people cross our paths to bring something to the table. We get to experience so many new things that we were not aware of. Along the journey of life, each and every step that we take I believe is aligning us towards the people that we are meant to be given you take that leap of faith and leave the rest.

We never know when it’s our last. So take life with a grain of salt, and don’t believe everything you hear or see. Just keep doing your thing and live in the moment…It’s you that matters in the end.

Today is a gift, and that is why it’s called present”.

L’Oréal Professionnel Paris: Absolute Repair shampoo and Mask ( Review)

Hello everyone!! Hope you’re doing well. Today I am going to write a review on L’Oréal Professionnel Paris : Absolute repair shampoo and hair mask.

As we all know that L’Oréal Paris is a renowned drugstore cosmetic and hair care brand from Paris. It has provided absolutely fair service to its customers throughout the year with affordable range of both makeup and lifestyle products.

With ongoing trends in every second of the day, we love styling our hair accordingly and pose for the gram. Continuous exposure to hair straighteners, curlers, etc can have a significant effect on our hairs. It may lose it’s natural lusciousness and may tend to break easily.

So, I was looking for a hair product which would restore my natural lusciousness and provide protection from dryness and split ends at the same time. So, I decided to use these products and over time, my hair has become much manageable, frizz free and my split ends and dryness are under control now.

PS: The image of the products displayed here is taken by me.

I preferably like to apply the hair mask once in two weeks and keep it on for not more than 5-10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly with shampoo and cold water.

I am absolutely loving the results and would recommend these products to anyone who is having trouble with dry and frizzy hair.

Absolut repair shampoo comes with a price of INR-695/- only and Absolut repair hair mask comes with a price of INR- 860/- only.

Review: St.Botanica Under eye cream

Hmm…Hello! everyone..Happy Sunday! I hope everyone is having a nice weekend..

Today, I’m writing about this under eye cream from a renowned Indian brand called St. Botanica. Well, I saw some good reviews about this product so, I decided to try it for myself!

But firstly, let’s talk about the importance of including under eye cream in your skin care regime. To be honest, I started using eye cream from the beginning of this year and I’m impressed with the result.

We love keeping tabs with the latest celebrity gossips, the hottest trends and sharing our happy moments with the world ( thanks to internet!).Yet, in this process we forget that we are straining our eyes with the constant exposure to our smartphones, laptops, computers, iPads and televisions.

The result is we’ll notice that as we grow older the very thin tissues under our eyes start to sag giving rise to aging problems like wrinkles, fine lines, eye bags and puffy eyes and not to forget those dark circles that make our eyes look stressed and tired.

We cannot stop the process of aging but yes, we can delay it by taking proper care of our eyes.

So, I chose this Under eye cream despite so many other such products because of the following ingredients that it has:

1.Hyaluronic acid: this under eye cream contains hyaluronic acid which is good for retaining the moisture under your eye area thus, preventing your tissue under your eye from drying and delaying aging.

2. Vitamin C & E: now, we all know the great benefits vitamin C and E has for eyes and they break down the unhealthy eye tissues and delay the appearance of fine lines and also take care of the blood vessels of your eyes.

4. Vitamin B3: this acts as an antioxidant for your eyes.

5. Silk protein: these extracts help to de stress your eyes and promote blood circulation on your eye area to reduce eye bags and reduce puffiness.

6. Argan oil & Frankincense oil : These two oils are often called ‘the liquid gold’ because of their super beneficial properties for both skin and hair. They reduce wrinkles, dark circles, fine lines to give your eyes a healthy look.

All these ingredients make this under eye cream a must have and budget friendly since it costs only about ₹-899/- for everyone. I’ve been using this and I’m happy !

“because your eyes go first”.
