It’s been long since I last wrote a review on a skincare product.I have not posted any blog posts on the past few weeks so I decided why not write a review on the skincare product that I’m using these days.
To begin with, Plum is an Indian Skincare brand that was launched recently in India. As, I’ve been using Korean skincare products for long on my oily skin and was quite hesitant to switch my taste to another brand, I decided to go with Plum goodness green tea kit since it’s my country’s brand and the most impressive thing about the brand is it contributes to the environment. Yeah, of course, enough of my blabbering and getting back to my business.

As I’ve already mentioned that for acne prone skin one should look for the ingredients that claim to control it and I was happy when I found the combination of glycolic acid with green tea here. Now, I will be reviewing each product in this kit one by one.
1. Plum green tea pore cleansing face wash :
This face wash is gel based and contains minute exfoliating beads which is good for oily skin.
Pros :
1. It contains glycolic acid which is helpful for acne prone skin.
2. Removes excess oil from the skin without drying too much.
3.The skin feels supple and fresh.
4. It comes with the price of ₹ 345/- only.
Cons :
1. Glycolic acid does break out your skin if you’re new to using it.
2. It doesn’t work well for whiteheads and blackheads.
3.This provides just enough moisture after washing.
2. Plum green tea alcohol free toner:
This toner is quite effective in clearing up tiny bumps on the skin.
Pros :
1. It is alcohol free and is very good for acnes.
2. It thoroughly removes dirt and grime from the face.
3. It tones up and brightens up the face.
4. It comes up with the price of ₹ 351/- only.
Cons :
1. It has no effect on the pores.
2. This only controls the oil.
3. Takes a lot of patience to visibly see the difference on the face.
3. Plum green tea mattifying moisturizer :
Unlike other moisturizers that cast a n oily shine on the skin, this one is a savior.
Pros:
1. It has a matte effect and is good for summers.
2. It is water based and gets absorbed quickly.
3. It provides right amount of moisture to the face.
4. It comes up with the price of ₹ 470/-only.
Cons:
1. Though it is light weight,it feels sticky sometimes in hot days.
2. It can’t be mixed with a matte sunscreen and blending with a bb or foundation can be troublesome sometimes.
3. It is quite small compared to the other products of this kit.
4. Plum green tea renewed clarity night gel :
It provides balanced hydration to the skin and face feels clearer and brighter in the morning.
Pros :
1. It is very light and has pleasing fragrance.
2. Face looks bright and clear.
3. Works well on blackheads.
4. It costs around ₹ 575/- only.
Cons :
1.This too doesn’t work well on pores.
2. It has no effect on whiteheads.
3. No visible result seen in first application.
Final Verdict :
So, after using this kit for almost a month and half now, I’ve seen my face look brighter and humbly clearer these days but the drawback is that I see tiny bumps on my face every now and then. What I’ve come to conclude is that products containing glycolic acids first break out the skin then, help in repairing it. I think, people who want to see visible difference in few applications should try using other products. As far as I’m concerned I would say that Plum green tea kit is a humble one that is affordable and gives okay results.
